Engineered Structures

The Engineered Structures portfolio includes bridge and tunnel systems, an extensive range of Arch solutions, box culverts, miscellaneous and prestressed elements, and Humedeck™ a reinforced concrete modular bridge system, that combines the deck and girder into one high quality precast component.

Humes provides a range of products primarily used in the transport and resource sectors for bridges and tunnels. Box culverts originally used for low-cover drainage applications are now available up to 6-metres height, and span, for tunnels, bridges, drains and ducts.

Arches extend the 6-metre spanning capability of culverts to 21metres, with heights of 7-metres readily accommodating railway applications. Arches may be manufactured to chosen architectural finishes and varied span to height ratios, to suit nominated site conditions.

Humes provides an extensive range of precast and prestressed concrete elements for road, rail and marine applications.

Humedeck™, a modular precast concrete bridge product, is the ideal solution for the replacement of deteriorating timber bridges. Humes can easily bundle supply of Humedeck™ along with piles, precast abutments, headstocks and retaining walls — providing a total cost-effective solution.
