Neil Edwards was appointed as Chief Executive, Chifley Business School, in July 2005. He also became Chief Executive, ETM in February 2007. Neil has more than 20 years experience in senior management and a longer-standing interest in management development. Prior to joining Chifley, Neil was chairman of Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC), and also Commissioner of State Services Authority. He was appointed Executive Chairman of the (then) Melbourne Port Corporation in March 2003, and remained a Director of PoMC until he was appointed a Director of the Victorian Regional Channels Authority (VRCA) in January 2008 and Chairman in April 2008. Neil is also a Director of the MacFarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health. From 1999 to March 2003, Neil was secretary and CEO of the Victorian Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, with responsibilities for business, science, industrial relations, tourism and regional development. Neil joined the Victorian Government in 1996 as Executive Director, State Development Policy. Between 1979 and 1996, Neil worked in the Australian Government, from 1994 to 1996 as Division Head in the then Department of Industry, Science and Tourism, but for most of the time with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C), where he held several senior executive positions, including as Head of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, in social and cultural policy, and in corporate management. In 1983-85, Neil served as Private Secretary to successive Australian Ministers for Finance. During 1989-90, he was seconded to the Government of Canada as an Officer of the Privy Council and later as Director-General, Policy, Health and Welfare Canada. After qualifying in economics and politics, Neil taught politics for 4 years, first at Monash University and then at the University of New England. Neil is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia.
BEd - University of Melbourne Andrew is the General Manager of ETM with over 20 years senior management experience in HR and Business Services. Prior to joining ETM, he was General Manager of Lyncroft Consulting, a leading national recruitment and HR consultancy. Andrew designed and managed the development of the Career Workbook which has now been used by over 1000 technical professionals to review their careers and to develop and implement a “career plan” for progressing their careers. Andrew has delivered seminars in all Australian states on career management and development, and designed and managed the development of an online Career Roadmap for Engineers in the Australian Road Industry. Andrew continues to be actively involved in researching the career paths and development needs of technical professionals and providing tools and resources that will assist them with their career management and development.
Richard joined ETM in 2006 as NSW State Manager. Richard is an RCSA Accredited Recruitment Professional.
Brian Fenaughty joined ETM as Victorian State Manager. Brian is degree-qualified with extensive business experience, most recently with a facilities management company. He manages the Victorian operations of ETM, with recruitment and career management services to our existing and new clients.
BComm (Marketing) Bill commenced his working life as an Engineering Surveyor, working on various major construction sites throughout Australia. From there he left that sector and pursued a career in marketing and business. He has worked at General Manager and Marketing Manager level for a range of Australian companies in operations, manufacturing and supply chain. In 1995, he entered the recruitment industry and was General Manager of a major engineering recruiter. When that business was sold in 1999, Bill set up his own executive recruitment and consulting business, Pelion North, and he remains a director of that organisation. Recently he joined ETM as their NSW Manager, and reflecting the growth and opportunity in Queensland, he has relocated to Brisbane and is managing the Queensland operations for ETM. Bill now has over ten years in the recruitment business, on top of twenty years senior management experience with corporate organisations. Bill has managed large-scale recruitment exercises for both public and private sector clients, covering engineering, project management and commercial roles. Business Studies Level 3 and 4 West Cheshire College, Handbridge, Chester Brian has commenced with ETM managing the West Australian office. Brian has over 12 yers of recruiting experience in the United Kingdom. He joins ETM with a wealth of knowledge in international recruitment. Brian's expertise has been in the Industrial and Construction sectors. For the past three and a half years, I have been managing teams of consultants and guiding them to become successful sales people. I am a highly motivated, performance driven individual who thrives off new challenges and getting the very best out of his team. I am an excellent team player and motivator. Geoff Barrow - Senior Consultant VICBachelor of Commerce, University of Melbourne Geoff is the Senior Consultant Victoria with over 20 years experience in senior roles with Local Government in Victoria, including CEO and Director Engineering roles, prior to joining ETM. Having held senior executive roles in local government, Geoff has extensive experience in recruitment and staff management issues as well as a strong focus on customer service. Geoff’s role with ETM is in the areas of management consulting, career development and recruitment assignments for local government and various engineering company clients. Geoff has prepared papers and recently presented a seminar program on Retention and Attraction of Engineering Staff in an era of skill shortage. Stuart King - Senior Consultant VICStuart joined ETM Search & Selection in May. He is degree qualified with 4+ years recruitment experience across mining, resources, energy and civil engineering disciplines. Stuart commenced his specialist recruitment career with the Bayside Group in 2004, working under the Bridge Consulting banner. He has conducted successful searches to place civil engineers within the water environment. Stuart moved to Cadden Crowe in 2006 to join the Mining and Resources team. Through his extensive contacts and networks within the engineering sector, Stuart secured the secondment project of Recruitment Manager for Nyrstar through Cadden Crowe. Stuart then took a position with Rio Tinto, handling the Australian and International campaign for the 2009 graduate intake, which concluded in March this year.
Kathryn joined ETM Search & Selection in January this year after successfully working in engineering recruitment in Dubai. Prior to the UAE, Kathy worked in the recruitment industry in Sydney, doing both permanent and contract placement of engineers - Civil (Project Managers Estimators, Contract Administrators, Surveyors etc), Structural, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Environmental - scientists and IT staff in both the government and private sectors in Australia. Kathy has very good skills in recruitment and human resources and will be able to assist our candidates prepare their resumes and criteria documents. Gabrielle Foldes - Senior Consultant NSWBachelor of Arts (Psych) Gabrielle has worked as a Consultant Psychologist providing psychological assessments, training and development needs analyses, career development assessments and outplacement services. She assists the State Manager to provide Career Services to both clients and candidates as well as recruitment for our clients. Paul Gawthorne - Senior Consultant WATQM – Total Quality Management Paul has commenced as the Senior Consultant in the west Australian office. Paul has recently moved to recruitment after a varied work history, he has spent his recent years in recruitment with other agencies in Perth. Paul brings a good broad range of skills to the ETM business and will work to assist both our clients and candidates in WA with their recruitment requirements.
The University Of New England, Armidale, NSW - Bachelor of Asian Studies (including 1 year at Washington State University, USA) Tiffany is the Recruitment Consultant Southern, with over 7 years experience in senior roles, recruiting with Diversiti, Chandler Macleod and the Olivier Group in the Sydney area prior to joining ETM. Tiffany has a wide experience in recruiting in permanent, contract and temporary roles - she has completed search and selection for those roles. Tiffany’s role with ETM is in recruitment assignments for the rail, water and power industries working with Andrew McCauley and his major clients. Rosa Virgiza - Recruitment Consultant QLDRosa joined ETM Queensland in February as Recruitment Consultant, bringing with her previous experience in both recruitment and human resources. Rosa has a BA from the University of Qld in Psychology and has undergone other training in Customer Relationship Management and effective Career Management. Rosa will assist with recruitment and candidate assessments.
Bachelor of Human Resource Management (2007) Phillip has worked in a number of organizations since completing his diploma in 2004 most recently recruitment work with Recruit Express primarily responsible for interviewing and placing candidates in permanent full/part time and temporary positions. Phillip has over 3 years experience in administration with corporate Australia as well as the recruitment experience. He is a valuable addition to the ETM New South Wales team.
John Donaldson is responsible for the management and candidate search of ETM's and APESMA's databases. John is a qualified Chemical Engineer with 20 years experience in Quality Management, Production, Project Management, Maintenance, Computer Systems and OH&S. John worked with the Department of Defence for 13 years and was a member on the Defence Standardisation Committee.
Masters of Arts (Lib) 1996 Karen has recently been appointed the Knowledge Manager for ETM. Karen has some 12 years experience in librarianship and knowledge management. Most recently she has worked in executive search companies as a Researcher and she has now brought her expertise to ETM. Karen is assisting to get the database of candidates in a more easily searchable form. |
